A recent health alert from the French government has raised concerns over certain tea infusions. Specifically, tea bags containing chamomile and peach flavors are now under scrutiny due to contamination with ethylene oxide, a potentially carcinogenic gas. Since January 17, 2025, products from the brand Bjorg and Compagnie/Clipper have been pulled from shelves due to this contamination. The affected items are packaged in boxes of 20 tea bags, and those purchased between May 2024 and January 2025 should be particularly noted. Consumers should look for lot number 3029645, which has a use-by date of November 8, 2025.
