Kia PV5 Introduces Seven-Seat Version: Electric Minivan Becomes Even More Practical
Kia has introduced the seven-seat version of the PV5 - Passenger model, targeting large families and mobility services.

Kia has unveiled the seven-seat version of the PV5 - Passenger model. The new variant is aimed not only at large families but also at transfer services, taxis, and mobility services.

Externally, the vehicle has hardly changed. The main innovation is hidden inside, where a third row of seats has been added.
The seven-seat PV5 is built on the specialized electric platform E-GMP.S, designed for commercial and passenger electric vehicles. The interior features a 2+2+3 configuration, providing comfortable access to the third row and flexible transformation options.
Even with all seats in place, the trunk accommodates 318 liters of cargo. Folding down the third row increases the usable volume to 785 liters. The flat floor typical of electric vehicles allows for sufficient legroom and headroom for passengers in all rows.
Over 390 km Without Recharging
The new version boasts a range of over 390 km. The electric vehicle supports fast charging, allowing the battery to be replenished from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes. It also features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, enabling external electrical devices to be powered from the vehicle's traction battery.

In certain markets, the seven-seat variant comes equipped with a 71.2 kWh battery and a heat pump as standard. The range for this variant exceeds 390 km according to the WLTP cycle.
New Equipment for the Entire PV5 Family
Alongside the launch of the seven-seat version, Kia has updated the entire PV5 lineup for the 2027 model year. The vehicles now feature an adjustable driver’s armrest, a Walk Away Lock function that automatically locks the doors after the owner moves away with the key, and a new compact antenna that helps keep the vehicle's height under 1.9 meters. This is important for accessing multi-story parking lots and underground garages.
Inside, there is a 12.9-inch multimedia system display based on Android Automotive and a 7.5-inch digital instrument panel. Wireless software updates and smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported.
A Vehicle for Large Families and Passenger Transport
Kia positions the seven-seat PV5 as a versatile solution for various usage scenarios. The model is expected to attract large families, airport transfer operators, taxi companies, and corporate fleets.
Prices for the new seven-seat version have yet to be announced. Production of the model is set to begin in July 2026, and orders are already open in several European countries.
