Poltrona Frau In Motion Crafts 100 Travel Bags from Recycled Leather for the Centenary of the Trident
Maserati, in collaboration with Poltrona Frau In Motion, has unveiled the Maserati Weekend Bag, a limited edition collection of 100 travel bags made from recycled leather. This handcrafted collection, designed to commemorate the centenary of the Trident, will be available starting October 2026 through the Tridente App.

On July 16, 2026, in Modena, Maserati and Poltrona Frau In Motion introduced the Maserati Weekend Bag, a special capsule collection that celebrates both the centenary of the Trident and the essence of Italian Grand Touring. This initiative stems from a collaboration between Maserati and Poltrona Frau In Motion, which specializes in creating exclusive interiors for vehicles, aircraft, and boats. Maserati continues to embody the spirit of Grand Touring with its latest models, including the Grecale, GranTurismo, and GranCabrio, while Poltrona Frau boasts a rich heritage of craftsmanship dating back to 1912.
Features of the Maserati Weekend Bag
The Weekend Bag presents a modern take on the traditional travel bag, showcasing a sleek and essential design. Crafted entirely by hand in Italy from tan leather, it features a structured silhouette, polished finishes, a zip closure, and a canvas shoulder strap with a personalized Maserati logo. The Trident emblem is embossed on the front flap, with a side embossing marking the centenary of the logo. Inside, a blue canvas lining adorned with a beige monogram houses a metal tag indicating the limited edition number, making each of the 100 bags unique.

The SUSTAINera Project: 100% Recycled Leather
Each Maserati Weekend Bag is crafted from Poltrona Frau leather originally chosen for Maserati seats and 100% recovered through a circular economy process developed by SUSTAINera, a Stellantis division focused on sustainability. The leather comes from tanneries certified to the Gold standard by the Leather Working Group (LWG), which evaluates the environmental performance of tanneries globally. This initiative is part of Star*Up, Stellantis's global intrapreneurship program.
