Cupra continues to enrich the visual identity of its electric SUV, the Cupra Tavascan, with the arrival of a new special series, the Black Edition. Staying true to the strategy of the Spanish brand, this version focuses on a more radical stylistic approach, centered around dark finishes and enhanced aesthetic coherence.
This variant aligns with a well-established trend among many manufacturers, which involves offering "full black" versions to accentuate character and road presence. The Tavascan adopts a particularly advanced interpretation of this concept.
A Unified Exterior Design Around Black
The principle of this Black Edition is based on the gradual removal of usual contrasts in favor of a more homogeneous and darker ambiance. Several body elements evolve in this direction, with darkened front air intakes, matching mirror caps, and side skirt protections treated in the same shade.
The wheels, offered in 20 or 21 inches, also adopt a matte black finish, reinforcing the overall design coherence. Combined with the Midnight Black color, this configuration pushes the SUV towards an almost entirely monochrome silhouette, while still allowing the option to choose other colors to slightly modulate the final appearance.

The overall effect accentuates the dynamic positioning of the model, highlighting the taut lines and coupe SUV profile of the Tavascan.
An Interior Continuity with the Exterior
The interior follows the same aesthetic logic. Cupra introduces "Soul Black" inserts on the center console and door panels to extend this darker ambiance into the cabin. The Dinamica black microfiber bucket seats complete the ensemble, enhancing both the sporty aspect and the perceived premium quality.

Despite this darker approach, the Tavascan retains its technological equipment and premium orientation, with an interior presentation already largely focused on digital features and comfort.
High-End Versions and Positioning
This Black Edition series will not be available across the entire range. It will be reserved for the Endurance versions associated with the Immersive or Adrenaline packs, as well as the VZ trim, the most performance-oriented in the lineup.
The latter claims up to 340 horsepower and a range of up to 552 km, values made possible thanks to the technical platform shared within the group with models like the Skoda Enyaq and Skoda Elroq electric SUVs in their most powerful variants.
These configurations already benefit from a high level of equipment, including heated electric seats, a premium Sennheiser audio system, a panoramic roof, and adaptive suspension, confirming the model's high-end vocation.
Expected for summer 2026, this Black Edition enriches the Tavascan's palette, reinforcing its stylistic positioning. The price has yet to be announced, a key element that will determine the reception of this new variant.
