Mercedes-Benz Launches Birth Certificates for Classic Cars

Mercedes-Benz has introduced a unique offering for owners of classic vehicles, providing birth certificates for cars manufactured between 1986 and 2010. This initiative is designed to enhance the ownership experience by delivering detailed information about the vehicle's original specifications, including body type, delivery date, engine and transmission numbers, paint color, interior fittings, and any factory-ordered options.

The birth certificate is available for nearly all passenger car models produced during this period, although it excludes AMG models, vans, and Smart vehicles. Each certificate comes in a presentation folder and is priced at 130 euros, which includes shipping. To obtain this document, owners must provide the vehicle's chassis number along with proof of ownership through the Mercedes Classic Store.

In addition to this new offering, the automotive world is also seeing a revival of nostalgic products. For instance, Lego has launched a new set called "Classic Steam Train," appealing to both children and adult fans of model trains. This set consists of 575 pieces, allowing young builders aged seven and up to assemble a steam locomotive complete with a coal car and passenger carriage, along with a segment of track and a platform equipped with accessories.

The train set can be motorized with an additional set, enabling control via an app or remote. Priced around 90 euros, it captures the charm of classic steam trains, making it a delightful addition to any playroom.

Meanwhile, in the realm of technology, Bose has unveiled the second generation of its QuietComfort headphones, renowned for their active noise cancellation. Priced at 350 euros, the updated model features improved cushioning, extended battery life, and enhanced noise cancellation technology utilizing six microphones. The headphones are designed to provide optimal sound quality for all users, including those who wear glasses or have long hair, ensuring an immersive audio experience.

For those seeking precision in grooming, Braun has introduced the Nevo razor, which aims to balance thoroughness and gentleness. This innovative device incorporates 250 ultra-hard blades and a low-friction foil, all controlled electronically. An integrated trimmer allows for precise contouring, while the device’s display offers maintenance reminders. The Nevo, priced at 800 euros and accompanied by a leather case, reflects Braun's long-standing design tradition and comes with a five-year warranty.

Lastly, for watch enthusiasts, Honda's iconic Motocompo has inspired a limited edition Seiko 5 Sports watch. This timepiece, limited to 8,000 units, features a design that echoes the yellow paint and distinctive markings of the original Motocompo minimoped. The watch houses an automatic caliber 4R36, boasting a 41-hour power reserve and a waterproof stainless steel case. Priced at 390 euros, it will be available for delivery starting in September.

As the automotive and tech industries continue to innovate, these offerings reflect a blend of nostalgia and modern functionality, catering to a diverse range of enthusiasts.
