Up to €155,000 for a Toyota GR Yaris: The Penalty of the Ogier and Morizo RR Editions Skyrockets Prices

Toyota continues to push the limits of its GR Yaris with two extremely exclusive special editions, directly inspired by competition. Named Ogier 9X and Morizo RR, these variants pay tribute to two iconic figures of the brand, Sébastien Ogier and Akio Toyoda, while introducing unprecedented technical and aesthetic evolutions. In France, their price now exceeds 150,000 euros once the ecological penalty is included, a price level that is completely out of the ordinary for a sporty city car.

Two Special Editions Tailored for Performance

Unveiled at the Monte Carlo Rally, these versions of the Toyota GR Yaris embody what Toyota has produced most radically to date on its model. Produced in extremely limited series, they stand out with specific settings and a very different approach to driving, confirming their status as collector's items aimed at passionate enthusiasts.

GR Yaris Ogier 9X: A Tribute to Rally

The Ogier 9X variant celebrates Sébastien Ogier's ninth world title, achieved in 2025 behind the wheel of the GR Yaris Rally1. Based on the GR Yaris Aero, it benefits from extensive work on the GR-FOUR all-wheel-drive system, with driving modes developed in collaboration with the French driver.

These specific modes, named "SEB" and "MORIZO," modify the torque distribution to adapt the car's behavior. The first favors a more dynamic driving style with a tendency towards agility, while the second emphasizes traction and stability on corner exits.

Aesthetically, this edition adopts an exclusive Matte Sidereal Black color, paired with black wheels and blue brake calipers. The interior features a tricolor theme with blue-white-red stitching and a specific steering wheel inspired by the Rally1 version. A numbered plaque and dedicated graphic elements enhance its status as a collector's model. This version is exclusively offered with a manual transmission, accompanied by a rally-style handbrake.

Morizo RR: Endurance and Circuit DNA

On the other hand, the Morizo RR draws directly from the experience gained during the 2025 24 Hours of Nürburgring, in which Akio Toyoda participated behind the wheel of the GR Yaris. This version is based on the GR Yaris AERO MY26 and emphasizes an approach focused on efficiency and driving feel.

The suspension has been specifically developed for the Nordschleife, the power steering has been recalibrated, and a "MORIZO" 4WD mode has been introduced with a fixed torque distribution of 50:50. The engine also benefits from a specific mapping, boosting torque to 390 Nm, paired here with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Visually, the Morizo RR adopts an even more radical style with aerodynamic carbon fiber elements, including a rear wing and a specific hood. Its Turini Green color, bronze wheels, and yellow calipers highlight its more extreme identity, while the interior favors materials like suede and contrasting stitching. A dedicated instrumentation for the MORIZO mode completes the package.

Ultra-Limited Production and Record Prices

The production of these two series is strictly limited to 10 units each for the French market. A lottery has been set up by Toyota, with participation set at 1,500 euros, refundable in case of non-selection.

Prices are already reaching new heights before taxes. The GR Yaris Ogier 9X is priced at 69,000 euros, while the Morizo RR is set at 75,000 euros. With a maximum ecological penalty of 80,000 euros in France, final prices soar to approximately 149,000 euros and 155,000 euros, respectively. Caroom has even published a study on the French penalty compared to the European scale, and there are surprises.

Amounts that position these GR Yaris in a completely separate sphere, reserved for a clientele of wealthy enthusiasts, attracted as much by their exclusivity as by their direct link to motorsport.
