ADAC GT4 Germany Prepares for Mid-Season Showdown in Oschersleben

The ADAC GT4 Germany series is gearing up for its third race weekend of the 2026 season, set to take place from July 24 to 26 at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, located in the Magdeburger Börde region. The first two events of the season have already delivered plenty of excitement, and expectations are high for this upcoming race, marking the halfway point of the season on Germany's northernmost racetrack.

As is customary, the series will run as part of the DTM event, ensuring a full house of spectators. Tickets for the Oschersleben event are available starting at €49 through dtm.com. Sport1 will broadcast the Sunday race live from 15:00 to 16:30. Both races are scheduled to start at 15:10 on Saturday and Sunday, with live streaming available on Sport1.de and ServusTV On. Additionally, qualifying sessions will be streamed live on Saturday starting at 9:15 and on Sunday at 10:00 via Joyn and the ADAC Motorsport YouTube channel.

In the lead heading into Oschersleben are Denny Berndt (21/Berlin) and Lachlan Robinson (22/AUS, both from AVIA W&S Motorsport). This duo, driving the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4, has finished on the podium in every race so far this season, making them strong contenders for the title. "Of course, our goal is to remain at the top of the standings after Oschersleben. However, more important than a mid-season title is to be leading at the end of the season. Oschersleben has many long curves, so we need to be quick entering the corners and carry a lot of speed. We will certainly have our work cut out for us to find the perfect setup," Berndt explained, noting that this race is particularly special for him as he is racing in his home area. "Compared to other race weekends, more people will be coming along. I’m already looking forward to sitting down with them in the evening to discuss the races."

Trailing closely behind in the standings, just nine points adrift, are Berndt’s teammates Alon Gabbay (22/ISR) and Maximilian Schreyer (17/Marburg), who hold second place. They have been podium finishers in three out of the four races this season. Seven points behind them are Gabriele Piana (39/ITA) and Benjamin Sylvestersson (19/FIN, both from FK Performance Motorsport), who claimed victory in the opening race at the Red Bull Ring with their BMW M4 GT4. Also in contention for the unofficial title of mid-season champion are Jan Philipp Springob (25/Olpe) and Philipp Gogollok (20/Bad Homburg, both from COSY Racing by ESM), who are competing in an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4.

BWT Mücke Motorsport, a traditional racing team from Berlin, has the shortest travel distance to Oschersleben and will also be competing in their home event. The team features a promising driver pairing with Marius Schmid (18/Tengen) and Alex Connor (22/GBR) sharing the pink Mercedes-AMG GT4. Schmid is making his debut in the ADAC GT4 Germany this year and has already seen success, leading the rookie standings after securing two class wins and two additional second-place finishes. "I really enjoy racing with BWT Mücke Motorsport and the car at the ADAC GT4 Germany weekends. Oschersleben should suit our Mercedes-AMG well, as there are many corners and few straights. I hope for good results; perhaps we can even achieve a top five finish. Ultimately, my goal is to win the rookie classification," Schmid shared. "In fact, I had my first GT4 test with the team in Oschersleben last October, and I really liked the track back then.
