Cupra Raval: An Electric City Car That’s Already Sporty… But Not Yet Accessible
The Cupra Raval dives straight into the action with the opening of its orders in France. However, for its launch, Cupra has chosen a deliberate upscale positioning, awaiting more affordable versions.

The Cupra Raval dives straight into the action with the opening of its orders in France. However, for its launch, Cupra has chosen a deliberate upscale positioning, awaiting more affordable versions.
A Strategic Launch Focused on Performance
The Raval begins its journey with its most aggressive performance variants, not pricing. The entry-level versions, promised at a much more competitive price, will only be introduced at a later stage.
Upon its arrival, the electric city car is available in three configurations. The Dynamic and Dynamic Plus trims feature a 211-horsepower motor, while the VZ Extreme version boosts power to 226 horsepower. The latter showcases a strong temperament, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds.

The 55 kWh battery allows for a claimed range of up to 444 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle. This figure drops to 384 kilometers for the sportiest version, hindered by a performance-oriented setup. In terms of charging, the Raval accepts up to 105 kW in DC and comes equipped with an 11 kW onboard charger.
High Prices Before the Arrival of Entry-Level Versions
Unsurprisingly, this positioning translates into relatively high prices at launch. The Dynamic version starts at €34,870, featuring a comprehensive equipment list that includes parking aids, a rearview camera, heated electric seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging, and 18-inch wheels.
The Dynamic Plus trim, priced at €38,960, enhances the offering with 19-inch wheels, Matrix LED headlights, a 360-degree panoramic view, a digital key, and advanced driver assistance features.

At the top of the range, the VZ Extreme reaches €44,870. In addition to its increased power, it is distinguished by specific technical elements such as a limited-slip electronic differential and a glass roof.
While these prices distance the Raval from its initially announced accessible positioning, the situation is expected to evolve. Versions equipped with an LFP battery, anticipated to be priced below €26,000, will complement the offering. In the meantime, current models should benefit from government incentives, pending validation of their eligibility for the ecological bonus.
