Fiat 500L Surf-Inspired Concept Debuts at US Surf Championships
Fiat unveils a surf-inspired 500L concept vehicle at the Vans US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, California, featuring Vans' iconic design elements.

The Vans US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, California, served as the perfect backdrop for the debut of a unique Fiat 500L concept vehicle designed in collaboration with the iconic footwear brand, Vans.

The Fiat 500L’s design pays homage to Vans' signature style, featuring a striking exterior that combines a white lower body with a blue upper section. This upper area showcases a textured finish reminiscent of the canvas used in Vans shoes, while the roof sports a bold blue and black checkered pattern. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with matte black wheel arch extensions, side skirts, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Attention to detail is evident in the concept's design, with a red flag featuring the Vans logo positioned on the C-pillar and the grille, which incorporates the waffle pattern synonymous with Vans footwear. Inside the vehicle, this waffle motif continues on the pedals, the left footrest, the door sills, and storage compartments, creating a cohesive theme throughout the interior.
The dashboard is adorned with vibrant graphics that reflect Vans' playful aesthetic, while the seat upholstery echoes the canvas theme. Completing this surf-inspired Fiat 500L is a custom roof rack, designed to hold multiple surfboards above a practical storage basket, making it an ideal companion for beach outings.
This concept vehicle not only showcases Fiat's innovative design but also celebrates the vibrant culture of surfing, making it a fitting tribute at one of the premier surfing events in the United States.
